Placing a Bet
Placing a bet is very easy. You never have to feel
intimidated or that you're going to say something
wrong. Just remember these easy hints and steps. Before
you go to the window, write down your selections and
the amount you want to bet. Have your money or winning
ticket in hand then...
- Tell the clerk which track you desire to bet.
- Tell the clerk the race number you desire to bet.
- Tell the clerk the dollar amount and type of bet.
- Tell the clerk the blanket numbers you desire
to bet.
Eg: 'I'd like VictoryLand, 4th race, $2 Quinella,
1-2.' That's all there is to it!
Check your ticket(s) before leaving the window
Always check your ticket(s) before leaving the
teller window to make sure the track, bet, race number
and blanket selections are correct. Tickets cannot
be changed or canceled after leaving the teller window.
Never throw your ticket away, unless you are positive
it is not a winner. If there is any doubt, let the
Teller's computer tell you by reading the ticket.
Advance betting
You may bet on any future race of the current program.
Just let the teller know the track and race number
before placing your bet. Always check your ticket
for proper selections prior to leaving the teller
window.
Collecting winnings on previous day tickets
Winning tickets from a prior race day may be cashed
at the Special Teller Window.
Self-service terminals
Try our self-serve touch screen wagering terminals.
They are simple to operate and you can get your bet
in faster with no waiting in line. Machines accept
winning tickets or wagering vouchers. Vouchers for
any amount may be purchased at any teller operated
window. Many of the machines also accept cash. Here's
all you do.
Insert cash, voucher or winning ticket. Your balance
will appear.
- Touch the track you desire to bet.
- Touch the race you desire to bet.
- Touch the amount you desire to bet.
- Touch the type of bet you desire.
- Touch the number or numbers of the runners you
want.
- Touch 'TICKET' to receive your wager.
Your ticket will then come out and a new balance
will appear. You may then select another transaction
and repeat the process or Touch voucher and conclude
your play.
